Rules

Fishing begins at sunrise on Saturday, October 8, 2022. Official time will be anounced on Friday evening at the Captain's meeting.

Guided and Non-Guided divisions may have up to four (4) anglers and one (1) guide or driver per boat. Individual (Non-Motorized Watercraft) division are free to fish kayak, jetty, pier, dock, and wade (no boat transporation allowed for wade anglers in Non-Motorized Watercraft division).

Anyone with a U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License that has guided professionally in the last 5 years or anyone known to have been a guide in the last 5 years may not fish in this tournament. This includes any land, wade, or jetty guides.

All federal, state, and tournament rules will be abided by including a valid fishing license. All anglers are subject to polygraph test.

Tournament Stringer (All 3 Divisons): Stringer consists of one (1) slot redfish (20"-28") and three (3) slot trout (17"-23"). NO OVERSIZE redfish or trout.

Fishing Boundaries: There are no bay boundary lines; however, the fishing area is restricted to the inshore waters of the bay and water to one nautical mile offshore of the beach and jetties.

Weigh In: Weigh in is no earlier than 12:00pm (noon) and your fish must be in the weigh in line by 4:00pm. Weigh Master will disqualify late entrees. No swapping of fish after team member is in line for weigh-in. If Weigh Master determines a stringer or side pot fish is undersized, no swapping of that fish. Any under or oversized fish violating State or Federal law will be disqualified from the stringer or side pot categories. Each team or individual is still eligible for weigh-in or side pot entry without their disqualified fish. All fish entered into tournament must be identified and separated prior to being brought into weigh-in tables.

Altering Fish: All fish submitted for weigh-in must be in a fresh edible condition. Frozen, thawed, spoiled, pale gilled or altered (tail shaving) fish not in its natural state will be disqualified.

Ties: In the event of a tie for weight or length, first team/angler to check-in determines the winner. ALL decisions of Tournament Officials are final. NO APPEALS.
